Cooking with Mushroom seasoning (dehydrated & ground mushrooms), can be a powerful tool in the kitchen. Dry mushrooms pack a powerful flavor punch, and when they are powdered even more surface area is exposed helping to extract even more flavor. Since there are no big chunks, it acts a little like a thickening agent at the same time. The powdered mushroom will absorb moisture and swell providing body, and giving your creation an evenly distributed umami signature.

Mushroom seasoning is fantastic for gravies, soup bases, rubs, bread crumbs for coating meats, pizza dough, and even for forming mushroom ‘crusts’ on steaks. It also goes well with scrambled eggs, pasta sauces (toward the end of the cooking process), sauteed greens, and even infused in olive oil.
